Tomb of the Kings, Kato Paphos: Discussions are about to start on the proposed dual carriageway, part of the new Paphos ring road. A number of groups are opposed to the idea which would, in their, opinion destroy a thriving tourist area.

There are also a number of road safety concerns which Cyprus Driving has some sympathy with.

From our experience of the area, it is our opinion that a dual carriageway is not necessary and is not likely to be for well into the foreseeable future and beyond. We are confident that a proper survey of the site would support this view. A dual carriageway would be detrimental to road safety and other options should be considered.
